About Domain

Writing is a skill, not a talent

Domain started with one observation: most people write worse than they think, and better than they know. The gap is just practice and the right feedback.

The whole idea, plainly stated

Article writing gets taught as a style exercise. Structure, voice, paragraph length — all treated as matters of taste. That is the wrong frame entirely.

Good articles are built on decisions: what the reader needs to know first, which argument holds the most weight, where a claim requires a source. When those decisions are made consciously, the writing improves. When they are not, revision loops endlessly.

Domain was put together in 2024 to address exactly that. Every module covers a specific decision point — not a general theme. Learners in Victoria and Moncton go through the same material on the same schedule, with the same standard of feedback applied to both.

The people behind it

Three people who read a lot and argue productively

The team is small on purpose. Every instructor handles their own feedback load — there are no assistants reviewing drafts on someone else's behalf.

Curriculum Designer

Tibor built the module sequence from scratch, testing each unit with a group of adult learners before publishing. He tracks where learners drop in comprehension and rewrites those sections.

Editorial Coach

Priya focuses on the later stages of writing: editing for clarity, cutting without losing meaning, and preparing copy for a real publication context. Her sessions are the shortest in the course and consistently rated the highest.
